Our preschool uses a variety of age appropriate activities and resources to implement learning based on the SCEWD curricular scheme. The SCEWD plan which stands for Spiritual/Social Living, Communication Arts, Expressive Arts, Wellness and Discovery about the World, is a developmentally appropriate curricula designed for Christian schools.

Our program includes circle time with music, stories, movement and theme discussions; free play and center time with the children choosing from a variety of learning centers which include housekeeping, blocks, computer, educational games and puzzles, writing etc.; creative art with opportunities to explore many forms of art medium; snack time which can include cooking projects and outdoor play.

Spiritual growth is developed through the teaching and learning of God’s Word.  We concentrate on characteristics of faith (sharing, loving, caring, etc.) on a weekly basis. Bible stories are interwoven within these characteristics of faith.  Weekly chapels are led by the Pastors and our Family Life Minister.

Our program is further enhanced by educational field trips and guest visitors from the community.  Assessment of the children is a continual process using various observation techniques and interactions with the children.  A portfolio is kept for each child.  Parent conferences are held upon request.
